In country very far from here, there was a white castle on top of a mountain.  The king and his beautiful wife lived in the castle.

One day, a naughty little boy jumped into the garden of the castle and he met the queen. She looked very sad. “What’s wrong?” the boy asked.

“I’m not ready to be a queen. No one likes me,” the queen said. “I’m too quiet.”

“It’s ok to be quiet,” the boy said, “I’m sure you have other good qualities.”

The queen thought and said, “Yes, I’m smart, honest, and helpful. You’re right, it is ok to be a quiet queen. Thank you!”

“You’re welcome. I’m sure people will like you if you do helpful things for them,” the boy said.

After that, the queen was more confident. She helped many people in her country, and everyone loved the Quiet Queen.

Once upon a time, an old blind man lived on Pulau Timbun Mata (Shut-Eye Island). He often sat in the sun outside his house looking after paddy which his son had placed there to dry.

Whenever chickens came to eat the paddy, he used a long stick to bang the ground to chase them away.

One day, his grandson played a trick on him. He caught a couple of crabs on the beach and placed them on the paddy. They made a noise just like chickens eating the paddy.

“What’s that?” asked the old man.

“Don’t you know?” his grandson replied. “Some chickens are eating the paddy.”

The old man banged on the ground with his stick. But the crabs were not frightened. They continued to eat the paddy.

“Ha, ha, Ha!” laughed the boy.

Suddenly, there was a terrible roar like the firing of cannon. An old man with a long white beard appeared in a cloud of smoke.

He pointed his wand at the boy. “You should never laugh at your grandfather,” he said, “especially as he is blind.”

Before the boy could answer, a strong wind started to blow and the sky became black. A cloud of red smoke shot out of the top of a hill in the centre of the island. Tons of rock and boiling mud were thrown high into the air. All the houses on the island were destroyed and everyone living on the island was turned into stone.

Even today, if you visit the island, all you can see are some strange-looking rocks which resemble people.

Once a young boy went for a bath to a river.Unfortunenately,he went beyond  his depth and water lifted  him off his feet.Feeling that he was about to drown,he started shouting for help.

A man was pssing along theroad just  close by.He heard the shouts of the boy  and rushed to the river bank.He saw the boy in danger.instead of saving him,the man started scolding him,”why are you crying now ? you are  paying for  your carelessness”.

The boy  cried “sir ! please,save me first otherwise I shall be drowned.You can scold me later on”

But the man was not wise enouh to follow the point he went on with his rebukes and strong current carried the poor boy away
